The #1 Blind Spot Most Guys Have About Dating Photos

Introduction

Today I’m going to talk about something most guys (even many photographers) fail to understand about dating photos. And I’m going to show you exactly how to turn your dating photos from being good to great!

What do I mean by a great dating photo?

I’ll explain in a second.

Before I do. Let’s imagine a scenario that’s less personal and doesn’t involve any ego.

The Amazon Shopping Analogy

Say you are on Amazon looking to purchase a product. You type in the search term and all the product listings come up.

Now naturally you have to narrow the listings down and purchase the best product available.

What would that decision-making process look like?

Personally, I’d immediately eliminate all the listings that have crappy product photos (poor lighting, awkward angle, visually unpleasing colors, weird crop).

These listings wouldn’t even get any of my attention.

Now, you are left with a handful of listings. These are probably the best sellers, they all have very professional product photos.

But again, you don’t need nor want to buy every single one of them. How would you choose which one to buy?

Would you choose the one with the best product images or would you carefully read and compare their features?

Yes exactly.

Good product photography helps to sell products, but ultimately people spend their money on the best products, not the ones with the best product photography.

This is exactly the same process people on dating apps use to decide who they will go on a date with.

Pretty Photos Aren’t Automatically Good Dating Photos

You must understand that good photography (this means that your dating photos were taken with a nice camera, and have good lighting, composition, beautiful colors, and nice backgrounds) will absolutely help you get more dates, but ultimately YOU are the product on the mating market.

If the product isn’t good, no one in their right mind would buy the product just because the photography is good.

And this is why I (a person with the same photography skill level) can shoot two different clients and they will have different levels of success after their photoshoots.

One client may get 200 matches after his first week, the other may only get 30 matches.

It’s two entirely different “products” on the mating market and how well they “sell” will be determined by the market.

This is why a professional photographer alone will NOT make your dating photos great.

YOU must also look attractive in that photo! And this is VERY VERY important!

A great dating photo = great photography + attractive looking subject (you)

Most photographers don’t understand this. They only focus on taking pretty photos, not on maximizing their clients’ looks and vibes. And those photos don’t really get results on the apps.

Conclusion

When it comes to hiring a photographer for your dating profile, you really should work with someone who specializes in dating photos. They are usually experts in making people look attractive in photos.

But you need to manage your expectation and know that there’s no magic pill.

You still need to be a great product (mate) to be selected by the women on dating apps. And frankly, online dating is pretty superficial and heavily based on looks.

Don’t judge it, that won’t change a thing. Just know the rules and play well.

So if you want to do better with online dating, start dressing really well and working out hard.

If you shoot with me, I will even handle the fashion part for you and bring out your most attractive side.

The fastest way to get better results on dating apps = maximize your physical looks + find a really good photographer.

Doing these 2 things alone will take your online dating profile to the next level and bring you results you never thought were possible.
