Quick Mindset Shift to Help You Look More Charming on Dating Photos

Do you ever feel like you instantly tense up when someone points a camera at you?

Like suddenly you feel the pressure to put on your A-GAME and look on point for the photo.

So you strike a pose that you think will make you look good.

The camera clicks….

You hope for the best….

But when you see the photos, instead of looking natural and relaxed, your facial expression looks awkward and your body language looks tense.

Ever had that happened to you?

If you said “yes”, you are not alone.

I see this quite a lot in my photoshoots with my clients.

If you make this common mistake on my shoot, No biggie I can easily correct it.

But what about all those photos ops when I’m not there with you?

Don’t worry, I got you.

I’m going to show you a quick mindset shift that will greatly reduce the chance of you looking awkward when someone takes a photo of you.

You gotta understand this, the reason why you look awkward in photos is because of performance anxiety.

By trying to look good for the camera, you are inflicting unnecessary pressure and self-judgment on yourself.

You are introducing stress into your body.

And you are getting out of the flow by thinking/worrying too much in your head.

Whatever emotions you feel inside will be mirrored by your body language.

So what do you do then?

Next time you are about to have your photos taken, I want you to try this.

I want you to completely let go of the desire/need to look on point.

Instead of treating the camera as something you are trying to impress,

Just look at the camera as if it was your close friend or your girlfriend.

Hold eye contact with the lens as if it was someone you love.

There’s no need to put on a song and dance. You don’t need to impress the camera.

You are just looking at your bro or girlfriend and sending them good vibes.

The camera doesn’t exist..and there’s no pressure whatsoever.

Just relax and smile with your eyes.

Bring up the loving and joyful feelings inside of you and project them into the camera lens.

There’s no need to do a special pose.

Instead, think about how to relax your body to the maximum and make yourself 100% comfortable.

There’s no tension in your joints and muscles.

There’s no facade.

Just let your essence shine.

So..sum this up.

Instead of thinking about how to perform in front of the camera…just relax, hold eye contact with the lens, and make love to it.

You will look charming as hell if you do this. And when people look at your photos they will really feel your presence.

Try it out!

BTW I'm super excited to get back into making top quality work now that everything is open again.
